What We Believe

What We Believe

On this page we’ve attempted to outline some of our core beliefs and include the Scripture references for you to review yourself, because we only take the Bible as the ultimate authority, as you’ll see in the first point below.

About the Bible

The Bible is the Word of God. It is completely reliable and is the final authority on all matters of faith and life.
(2 Timothy 3:16)

About God

There is one only and true God, but in the unity of the Godhead there are three co-eternal and co-equal persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
(Hebrews 1:1-3, 8; Acts 5:3, 4)

About Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is God, became a man in order to die on the cross as a substitute for sinners.  He rose from the dead three days later, and is now in Heaven at the Father’s right hand.
(John 1:1, 14; 1 Corinthians 15:3, 4)

About Mankind & About Sin

All mankind is born with a sinful nature. Our sin separates us from God and renders us helpless to save ourselves. It is impossible for a person to be made right before God by his own works.
(Romans 5:12)

About Salvation

Salvation is by grace through faith. Eternal life is found exclusively in the person and work of Jesus Christ. Reception of Christ as Savior and Lord is necessary if one is to be saved.  Any person who confesses his sin, repents and depends solely on Christ’s finished work has his sins forgiven and is assured of eternal life in heaven.  Believers’ baptism is an act of obedience publicly identifying a believer with Christ in his death, burial, and resurrection but no external act is necessary for salvation.
(Ephesians 2:8, 9; Romans 10:9, 10; Roman’s 6:3-5)

About Heaven & About Hell

Heaven is the eternal home of the saved and that Hell is the eternal abode of the lost.
(Revelation 21-22; Revelation 20:11-15)
